WORK JOURNAL

High impact development with low time investment

It’s smarter, not harder.

So many of us rush from meeting to meeting, trying our best to do all the things AND live a meaningful life outside of work. We complain that there aren’t enough hours in the day and that work is consuming too much of our headspace and energy. We want to excel in our career and life, but in this fast-paced world there is less and less time to spend on the professional development that we need to succeed.

This isn’t about doing one more thing, it’s about taking advantage of the experiences you’re already having. Through your work journal you will:

  • Debrief with yourself to find small changes that add up to big improvements

  • Prepare for the big meeting and reflect on the experience after

  • Work through the rationale of a big decision so that you can feel more confident about your choice

These free journal prompts are an invitation to be more observant of your everyday workplace interactions as a method to accelerate your communication and soft skills development.

“We don’t learn from experience. We learn from reflecting on experience.”

— John Dewey
